Brief Position Overview

The Chang lab at Montana State University has openings for 2 postdoctoral research associates in a DARPA funded project which aims to engineer viruses for use as therapeutic particles. Candidates will be part of a multidisciplinary team and will have the opportunity to collaborate with virologists, mathematicians, evolutionary biologists, and materials scientists. Position Details

General Statement

The Chemical and Biological Engineering Department and the Center for Biofilm Engineering (CBE) are seeking a qualified candidate to fill a position at the Post-Doctoral level

Duties and Responsibilities

The candidate will be required to design and conduct experiments, implement research plans, develop required methods, prepare progress reports, presentations, and publications for research projects.

Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
  1. Ph.D. in Engineering or related science field.
  2. Demonstrated record of creative research and peer-reviewed publications.
  3. Demonstrated experience in managing projects and conducting independent research in the laboratory.
Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
  1. Experience with microfluidic systems and microfabrication .
  2. Experience with virus and cell cultivation and techniques in molecular biology.
  3. Experience with phylogenetic, genomic and transcriptomic techniques.
