Position Details

General Statement

We need an organized and efficient person to help manage this large NSF-funded project on bats, viruses, and their interactions with humans. The project involves a large team of investigators, postdocs, and students across three continents.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include organizing team meetings (in-person and via Skype), coordinating projects across investigators, managing budgets, ordering supplies, organizing international field work schedules, updating research websites, organizing travel and insurance for researchers, monitoring research time-lines, problem-solving potential barriers, writing reports, and generally motivating the team to sustain high quality productive research activities. Other related as assigned.

Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
  1. Experience managing projects
  2. Accounting and budgeting and financial management skills
  3. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
  1. Experience with research in a higher education environment
  2. A bachelor’s degree or higher
