Position Details

General Statement

Provide pharmacy services to MSU students.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Dispense prescription pharmaceuticals (Dispensing involves the accurate interpretation and execution of medication orders, the proper order entry, interaction screening, pricing, labeling of all items)
  • Provide accurate pharmaceutical information/education to patients
  • Provide consultation on pharmaceutical matters to clinical staff
  • Provide excellent customer service including assisting with third party payers, and interpreting MSU and Student Health Service policies
Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
  1. Pharmacy Degree from an accredited pharmacy program
  2. Licensed to practice as a Pharmacist in the State of Montana upon start date.
  3. Demonstrated experience in interacting professionally and courteously with other health care providers, support staff, patients, and families
  4. Demonstrated experience with pharmacy software programs involving pricing, labeling, and on-line interaction with third party payers
Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
  1. Experience in a college health setting
  2. A record of relevant retail pharmacy experience
  3. Experience with pharmacy inventory management
