Position Details

General Statement

The Athletics department administers 15 NCAA sports: Men’s and Women’s Basketball; Football; Women’s Golf; Men’s & Women’s Skiing; Men’s and Women’s Tennis; Men’s and Women’s Cross Country, Indoor Track and Outdoor Track; and, Women’s Volleyball.

Under the supervision of the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance the person in this position performs variety of administrative and clerical tasks in support of the Student Services staff in the Athletic Department.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitor CARA reporting.
  • Provide Admin Support to AC staff, Financial Aid Coordinator and Compliance Staff.
  • Manage Student-Athlete Database in Jump Forward; Monitor, update, and maintain student-athlete files, and Manage new student – athlete paperwork and required forms.
  • Compile complimentary pass lists and work with the ticket office and compliance to assure lists are accurate and complete.
  • Assist with Post Eligibility/Medical Scholarship Program.
  • Assist with managing camp paperwork and compliance.
  • Assist with Foundation account awards.
  • Maintain accurate graduation cohorts for graduation rate reporting.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by the Asst. AD for Compliance or any Student Services Staff member.
  • Provide administrative support for the University Athletic Committee.
Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
  1. Administrative work experience with an emphasis on providing exceptional customer service in an office setting or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
  2. Proficient computer skills, including use of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and email software (Microsoft Office preferred).
  3. Demonstrated skill organizing and prioritizing large volumes of work with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality; paying close attention to detail; meeting strict deadlines; and adapting to changing priorities while maintaining a positive, effective, and professional approach.
Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
  1. Prior administrative experience in a University (or similar) environment.
  2. Experience using Ellucian/Banner, or relational database.
  3. Knowledge of NCAA Rules and Regulations.
